The thriller series The Consultant is based on the novel of the same name by Bentley Little, which was published in Germany under the title Der Berater. The creator and showrunner of the series is Tony Basgallop, who previously developed the horror series Servant for Apple TV+. The pilot episode is directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision).
